Technical Assistance for Environmental & Social Management Issues

In this context, Ellipse Projects, a European engineering company specializing in the design and implementation of infrastructure projects, has been mobilized by the Togolese authorities to carry out the rehabilitation of two priority sites:

• UHC Lomé Campus, with a current hospitalization capacity of 197 beds, plans to rehabilitate and re-equip the facility for an increased capacity of 332 beds.
• UHC Kara, with a current hospitalization capacity of 239 beds, plans to rehabilitate and re-equip the facility for an increased capacity of 345 beds.

These renovations should provide a modern technical platform, increase hospitalization capacity, and optimize spatial organization by rehabilitating buildings and networks and equipping the UHCs with high-performance equipment.

In partnership with Insuco, Antea Group is supporting Ellipse Projects in controlling the environmental and social issues of the project. The project is divided into three phases: 

• Draw up the associated environmental and social management plans like waste management and biodiversity management plans during the construction and exploitation phase.
• Environmental and social monitoring -site visits and reporting- during the three years of construction.
• Environmental and social monitoring -site visits and reporting- during the first year of site operation.
