Measurements and monitoring of hygiene exposure on over 100 automotive industrial sites

The client needed to monitor the exposure level of workers to pollutants in all its manafucturing plants and dealerships in France to comply with regulations, but also to improve the storage and use of the data.

The conservation, use and securing of this data are the essential technical strengths for this type of service in which the challenge is to monitor the personnel exposure during the professional careers.

Mission

Our Measurement teams worked on all the customer factories and dealerships in France as part of the completion of a chemical risk technical audit. This service is mandatory under French Labor Code regulations.

The different phases consist in creating a sampling strategy, taking measurements, and a diagnosis of compliance with regulations (comparison with PELV: Professional Exposure Limit Values).

The sampling strategy is based on the assessment of chemical risks and a study of work stations in order to constitute Consistent Exposure Groups (CEG). The number of measurements to be taken per CEG depends on the level of hazard presented by the molecule, on the PELV type (constraining, indicative, accepted), and the associated risk notion.

Our Data Manager teams worked on the centralization, use and access to the data by creating a result viewing platform directly accessible from a basic web browser.

Solution

In the field and in the office, our teams collected, centralized, checked and managed the project data optimally: time saving and data quality.

This management made it possible for central managers, occupational physicians, or regional/site HSE managers to centralize the project data and documents on a specific, secure website (order, intervention and measurement report tracking, etc.), to access the data online (Secure Web Access) and to view, export and use the data.

Our teams are at the service of employee health, providing support at all the stages of this approach thanks to their expertise, their local network and their data management skills.
