Antea Group will participate in the Digital World Water Congress, one of the major virtual conferences for water professionals globally covering the total water cycle. IWA will take place from 24 May – 4 June. This year, Antea Group will be represented by Jolanda Boisson and Sylvie Seurinck.
IWA’s Digital World Water Congress is the first major virtual conference for water professionals globally covering the complete water cycle. The first virtual IWA aims to bring together global stakeholders from the water sector and covers the total water cycle, from water resources to wastewater recovery – connecting the dots for a water-wise world.
By representing Antea Group, Jolanda Boisson will present a poster about a decision support tool to decrease micropollutant discharges into sewage system networks. This community-wide tool has been developed to assist the identification and prioritization of the most emitting and impacting sources and areas on the receiving environment. It also assists in the elaboration of action plans by using a database of possible actions. Jolanda's poster will be available for all registered participants all event long.
In addition, Sylvie Seurinck will present a paper titled Remediation of a Groundwater Pollution Of Trichloroethene: Use Of A Groundwater Recirculation System With Biobarriers. The paper presents the results of an ongoing full-scale bio stimulated remediation of groundwater pollution with trichloroethene (TCE) in combination with a Groundwater Recirculation System. Monitoring data reveals that within 5 m downstream of a bio-barrier favorable sulfate-reducing and methanogenic conditions are established, and complete degradation of TCE to ethene is observed. Sylvie’s presentation will take place on Thursday 03 June at 15:00 (CET).
This virtual event will take place online over eight days, between 24 May – 4 June 2021. It will hold over 100 presentations and over 300 scientific posters from industry experts. Along with 32 hours, scientists, academics, engineers, and sector thought leaders are discussing six overarching themes define the program:
- Water Utility Management
- Waste water treatment and resources recovery
- Drinking water and potable reuse
- City-scale planning and operations
- Communities communications and partnerships
- Water resources & large scale Water Management.
