Heerenveen, Netherlands, December 14, 2018 – Consultancy and engineering firm Antea Group is acquiring the Polish subsidiary of engineering and consultancy firm Tractebel in a move intended to reinforce the group's international position. The acquisition is expected to be finalized within the next few months.

Antea Group’s Ambition

This acquisition constitutes the next step in Antea Group’s international growth strategy. CEO Rob van Dongen: “With this acquisition, we are creating a stepping stone to Eastern European markets, while at the same time bolstering our international energy transition services. We firmly believe that the engineering and spatial planning expertise of engineers will play a key role worldwide in creating sustainable energy sources and achieving energy savings.”

Tractebel Poland

Tractebel Poland is an engineering and consultancy firm with over 25 years’ experience in the Polish market. Tractebel Poland specializes in thermal and renewable energy, as well as in the transportation and distribution of energy. With sites in Katowice and Gdansk and approximately 100 employees, Tractebel is closely involved in the development of the Polish energy industry, among other things.

The Polish company’s name will change to Antea Group Poland once the acquisition has been finalized.
