The acquisition of the Polish subsidiary of Tractebel-Engie by Antea Group has been officially completed. Last year, the engineering and consultancy firm announced that it intended to acquire the Polish consultancy firm.

Tractebel Poland was part of the Tractebel-Engie group, with offices in Katowice and Gdansk. The engineering and consultancy firm has around one hundred employees and has built up an excellent reputation as a specialist in thermal and renewable energy and energy transport and distribution. It is also a household name in the field of water, wastewater and infrastructure. From now on, the company will continue under the name Antea Group.

Ambition

This acquisition is a new step in Antea Group's international growth ambition. As CEO Rob van Dongen explains, "We are convinced that the knowledge of engineers is going to play an important role during the energy transition and the development of a healthy living environment. In Europe, we predict an increase in demand for specialist knowledge and services in the field of renewable and sustainable energy. With a branch in Poland, we are creating an excellent gateway to the Eastern European markets."
